Mui is new to Port City. She hates the rain and misses the capital, but having a friend, who happens to be a vampire, makes up for that. Yoh, the vampire, just wants to do well at school and be normal, while Mui jumps at every opportunity to thumb her nose at the everyday conformity of school life. Together, they discover secrets and dangers, neither of them were ready for.
